Jonathan (J.J) Edwards is the head coach of the Comets 18u travel team and the manager of baseball operations for the North Brevard Baseball Club.

J.J. graduated from Astronaut High School in 1997 where he was a three sport athlete, playing varsity football, basketball and baseball. He then attended Cumberland College as a student/athlete in football/baseball. He later transferred to Guilford College in North Carolina where he was a four year letter winner in football.  From 2002-2004 he worked as an assistant football coach and recruited coastal North and South Carolina for Guilford College. He also served as the interim head softball coach in 2004.  He returned to Titusville to become a teacher and assistant varsity football/baseball coach for Astronaut High School. He has also served as an assistant baseball coach from 2006-2008, he became the head baseball coach in 2008 and coached until 2011 at Astronaut. He returned to Astronaut as an assistant coach from 2012-­2016 and is currently the head baseball coach for the Astronaut War Eagles.
